Video

I used my phone to record a poetry reading and then applied the audio clip on Adobe Audition to smoothen the sound and add in separate wind and bird sound effects to maintain the aesthetic. I muted the original audio on Premiere and filtered the video to look a little more “nostalgic”. I wanted to add in poetry verses in time to my reading through After Effects but it would have taken more time than I had available. By the time I was done editing the video, I realized there may have been a chance for me to do a simpler effect of adding in verses in time to the reading through Premiere. I also could not figure out to stretch my video to fit the youtube screen without distorting the image. If I increased the size on Premiere, the video loses quality and the screen zooms in to one area of the screen. I have searched for different ways to solve this issue but could not find a decent answer other than to avoid recording vertically on your phone. I think I’ll try to record horizontally on my phone next time or use a simple digital film camera I have and see if the equipment is the source of the issue or my editing is to blame.
